In the world of budget-friendly robot vacuums, Eufy has made a name for itself with models like the Eufy 11s Max vs 15c Max. But when it comes to choosing between them, which one should you go for? In this article, we’ll dive into a head-to-head comparison of the Eufy 11s Max and 15c Max to help you make an informed decision. Spoiler alert: My pick is the Eufy 15c Max.

The Eufy 15c Max clinches the top spot in this comparison thanks to its convenient app and voice control features. Being able to command your vacuum with your smartphone or even voice commands adds a level of convenience that the 11s Max can’t match. Despite these additional features, the 15c Max maintains the same compact design and impressive suction power as the 11s Max, ensuring efficient cleaning performance. So, for those who value the flexibility of controlling their robot vacuum through their smartphone or voice commands, the 15c Max stands out as the more user-friendly choice.

Although the Eufy 11s Max didn’t take the top spot, it was still worth buying. It lacks the advanced features of the 15c Max, like app and voice control, but it maintains the same efficient cleaning performance.

Eufy 11s Max vs 15c Max: Differences

This showdown is a closely contested battle, with the Eufy 15c Max emerging as the victor with a score of 1-0 and 3 ties. The key differentiator is the Eufy 15c Max’s inclusion of app and voice control, enhancing its overall convenience and usability.

Cleaning Performance

The Winner: Tie

Suction Power

The Eufy 15c Max and 11s Max have impressive suction power. These vacuums max out at 2,000Pa, which is a nice bump up from their predecessors, the 15c and 11s Max, that had 1300Pa. Now, Eufy claims they’re super quiet, and guess what? They’re not lying! I’ve let these vacuums run at full power during the night, and they didn’t disrupt my family’s beauty sleep. Seriously, they’re impressively hushed even when cranked up to the max.

But you can’t judge a vacuum cleaner’s cleaning performance just by looking at its suction power. I mean, sure, suction power is important, but it’s not the whole story. Real-world performance is influenced by a bunch of factors, such as the air flows, seal system, brush design, and more. So, that suction number isn’t the be-all and end-all.

In addition, these Eufy vacuums have a cool trick up their sleeves called Boost IQ. When you switch them to this mode, they become pretty smart about their suction. As they glide from one type of floor to another, they’ll automatically dial up or down the suction power. So, you can clean your various floor surfaces without breaking a sweat, no need to fiddle with suction settings manually.

Cleaning Performance

Hard Floor

During my hard floor test, both the Eufy 11s Max and 15c Max impressed me by effectively picking up all kinds of debris. Whether it was fine dust like flour or larger debris like cereal, they managed to clean up about 95–98% of the mess on my hard floors. Their performance was quite similar in this regard.

Friend, you might need to chill a bit when these vacuums start their thing. At first, it might look like they’re just playing with the debris, not really sucking it up, because their side brushes scatter some debris around instead of gathering it neatly in the middle for the main brush to suck up. But give them some time and a few rounds, and they will eventually clean up most of it effectively.

When it comes to extra-large debris, these vacuums struggled a bit. Instead of handling them smoothly, they tended to push them around or get them stuck underneath. It’s not that they lack suction power; it’s more about their lower-ground clearance. So, my advice? Give those big chunks a sweep yourself and let these robots take care of the rest.

Carpet

They do a great job picking up visible debris on low- to medium-pile carpets, but when it comes to deep cleaning, they fall short. I noticed this when they struggled to suction up the coffee powder I had spilled on my carpet. They only managed to pick up about 15%, and I had to bring in an upright vacuum to get the job done thoroughly.

These two robots really disappoint on thick or high pile carpets and rugs. They struggle to perform well on these surfaces, so I strongly recommend against using them for high-pile carpets.

Hair Pick-up

In my hair test with the 11s Max and 15c Max, they’re champs with pet hair but struggle a bit with long human hair. They’ll grab all that fur on the floor, but watch out for hair tangled up in their bristle brush roll. You’ll have to do some hair-cutting after each cleaning session.

Design & Usability

The Winner: Tie

Dimensions, Weight & Shape

Dimensions (D x H)12.8 x 2.85 inches12.8 x 2.85 inches
Weight 5.95 lbs5.95 lbs

Eufy 11s Max and 15c Max are like many other Eufy 11 robot vacuums, they both have a round shape and slim design. With their slim design, they easily slip under my couch and bed, where dust and pet hair used to accumulate unnoticed. Moreover, they deftly maneuver through tight spaces between chairs and tables, ensuring they cover every inch of my living room.

However, one drawback of their round design is that they may miss some debris in the corners, so you might need to do some manual cleanup in those tricky spots. If you want a vacuum that can reach corners more effectively, you might want to consider a D-shaped robot vacuum like the Roomba s9+ for more thorough corner coverage.

I also appreciate their lightweight design. It’s a breeze to carry them upstairs or move them around the house when I want to clean different rooms. Plus, when it’s time to empty the dustbin, I can easily lift and empty it without straining my back.

Battery Life

Eufy claims that the Eufy 11s Max and 15c Max offer a battery life of up to 100 minutes. I’ve also come across reports from other users who have confirmed that these vacuum cleaners can indeed operate continuously for approximately 100 minutes.

But you know what, in my experience, they hardly ever hit that maximum runtime mark. It could be because that estimate assumes you’re using them in low power mode and your floor isn’t super dusty or cluttered.

But, when I switch them to BoostIQ mode or Max power mode, the battery life takes a nosedive. They only last for around 40-45 minutes before needing a recharge.

They both have “Auto charge” which means when they detect a low battery, they automatically head back to their charging dock and recharge. It’s a pity that they don’t resume cleaning where they left off. But, at least, their ability to recharge themselves means they are always ready for another cleaning session. This is especially handy for me because I have a busy schedule, and I don’t always have time to monitor the vacuum or find it somewhere in my house.

Navigation

The Eufy 11s Max and 15c Max are missing fancy features: infrared scanning and room mapping. Instead, they use something called Bounce Navigation tech to get around your home. This means their cleaning path can be random – sometimes they go straight, sometimes they hug the walls, and other times they look like they’re doing a little dance. But they eventually cover the whole room, even if they take a lot of time. So, while it might look like they’re just guessing and doing some extra laps, it’s not too shabby considering the price.

As a result, I’ve learned that it’s a good idea to tidy up the floor before I let them loose. These little guys use random navigation, which means they can bump into stuff and change direction on the fly. If I leave things lying around like shoes, cables, or toys, they can get stuck or just spend their time dodging obstacles.

So, I usually make sure the floor is clear of clutter before I set them loose. It makes their cleaning run a lot smoother, and they don’t miss any spots. Plus, it saves me the hassle of having to rescue them from a tight spot.

Control

The Winner: Eufy 15c Max

The user interface of both the Eufy 11s Max and 15c Max is as simple as it gets – a single button on top that you push to start or stop the cleaning. However, there’s a small difference between the two. The 15c Max has a WiFi indicator right above that power button, indicating that it can connect to your WiFi network. This little addition means that you can control the 15c Max using your voice or a mobile app. It’s a handy feature for added convenience.

On top of that, they both come with a remote control in the package, which offers various cleaning modes and features.

You can control the 15c Max by using the app where you have a wide range of features at your fingertips. You can easily start and pause cleaning jobs, select different cleaning modes and suction levels, set up custom cleaning schedules for a whole week, send the vacuum back to its charging dock when needed, and even locate your robot if it’s gone astray.

Having voice control for the Eufy 15c Max is also really handy. I can simply tell Alexa or Google Assistant to start or pause the cleaning, and it obeys my commands. This is especially useful when I’m busy cooking, working, or just relaxing and don’t want to reach for my phone or remote control. Plus, it impresses my friends when they visit and see me effortlessly command the robot vacuum with just my voice. It’s a cool and convenient feature that adds a touch of futuristic charm to my home.

Cleaning & Maintenance

The Winner: Tie

Dustbin

The 0.6-liter dustbin on both the Eufy 11s Max and the Eufy 15c Max is pretty impressive given their small stature. Even so, I’ve made it a habit to empty the dustbin after every cleaning session to keep things running smoothly. This way, I don’t have to worry about it getting clogged, and the vacuum can continue picking up dirt and debris effectively. It’s a small maintenance step that goes a long way in ensuring these robot vacuums keep my floors clean without any hiccups.

Filtrаtiоn System

The 11s Max and 15c Max come equipped with a single-stage filter, which, to be honest, isn’t my favorite. I actually prefer the 3-stage filtration system found in the Eufy 11s and Eufy 15c, which includes a pre-filter.

Dealing with a single filter can be a bit more of a hassle. Without a protective screen, dust and debris tend to accumulate and get stuck in all those tiny nooks and crannies of the filter. Cleaning it thoroughly can be quite time-consuming.
