Between the Eufy 11s vs G30, I’d pick the G30 as my top choice. Both are budget-friendly robot vacuums, but the G30 offers some advantages that make it a better option in my book.

The Eufy RoboVac G30 has the chops to tackle hard floors and carpets with ease, and its slim design means it can squeeze into all the tight spots and get under low-hanging furniture. Plus, the app and voice control options add some serious convenience, especially considering its budget-friendly price tag.

Don’t overlook the Eufy RoboVac 11s, either! It’s another budget-friendly champ in the robot vacuum arena, offering strong cleaning performance in a compact package. Plus, if you care about clean air, the 11s has a filtration system that might just win your heart over the G30.

Eufy 11s vs G30: Differences

The Eufy G30 emerged as the winner in the battle against the Eufy 11s, securing a decisive victory with a final score of 3-1. It has superior cleaning performance, improved design and usability, and advanced control options. However, I still prefer the filtration system of the 11s.

Cleaning Performance

The Winner: Eufy G30

Suction Power

When it comes to suction power, there’s a notable difference between the Eufy 11s and the G30. The Eufy 11s offers a maximum suction power of 1300 Pa. On the other hand, the Eufy G30 showcases a remarkable boost in power compared to the Eufy 11s, boasting an impressive 2000 Pa of maximum suction power, which is higher than the average robot vacuum. With this level of suction power, it can effortlessly tackle even the most stubborn dirt and debris.

Both of these machines provide you with various suction power options to suit your cleaning needs. The Eufy 11s offers 3 modes: Standard, Max, and BoostIQ. On the other hand, the RoboVac G30 goes a step further with 4 suction options: Standard, Turbo, Max, and BoostIQ.

The BoostIQ mode stands out as the one I find particularly interesting and strongly recommend. In this mode, the vacuum autonomously adapts its suction strength depending on the floor type and the amount of debris it detects.

The BoostIQ feature is intelligently crafted to optimize the robot’s battery life while ensuring effective cleaning. It conserves energy in areas where high suction power isn’t required, channeling increased power only to the spots demanding thorough cleaning. This capability proves especially useful for homes with diverse floor types, seamlessly adjusting suction when moving from bare floors to carpets.

Cleaning Performance

I conducted a series of cleaning tests on hard floors, low-pile carpets, and medium carpets to assess their performance. I intentionally excluded high-pile carpets from the tests, as the manufacturer explicitly states that these two devices are not suitable for cleaning such surfaces.

The test results were rather surprising. When evaluating their performance on hard floors, both the 11s and G30 exceeded my expectations by effectively capturing all types of debris. However, I found the Eufy G30 to be slightly more efficient in clearing away debris. This could be attributed to its higher suction power or the fact that it boasts a wider cleaning path, measuring 6.4 inches, compared to the 11s, which has a 5.75-inch cleaning path.

When it comes to carpets, their cleaning performance is still pretty strong, although it’s not as stellar as on hard floors. They managed to scoop up all sorts of stuff like seeds, cereal bits, and even that pesky baking powder on my low- to medium-pile carpet. Now, the Eufy G30, with its extra suction power, does seem to handle this task a tad more effortlessly. It can gobble up a bit more dirt compared to the Eufy 11s, but honestly, the gap isn’t like “night and day” different.

Also, don’t expect them to pick up 100% debris on the first go. It took a few rounds, but eventually, my carpet looked spick-and-span. I mean, what more can you ask from these little robot vacuum heroes, right?

Eufy 11s vs G30's brush system is not great for hair picking up
Eufy 11s vs G30’s brush system is not great for hair picking up

When it comes to tackling pet and human hair, these robots held their own in my tests. However, it’s worth noting that longer hair tends to get tangled up in their rollers. So, I’ve made it a habit to give the rollers a good cleaning after each use to keep them running smoothly.

Design & Usability

The Winner: Eufy G30

Dimensions, Weight & Shape

Dimensions (D x H)12.8 x 2.85 inches12.8 x 2.85 inches
Weight 5.73 lbs‎5.94 pounds

Their design is pretty neat, and one thing that really stands out is how slim they are. Unlike some other robot vacuums I’ve tried, these ones can easily slip under my living room couch without getting stuck. It’s actually quite amusing and handy how they can even push out stuff like half-eaten dog bones and toys from under there.

Eufy 11s and G30's low profile allows them to slip under most furniture

But there’s a tiny drawback because of their round shape – they might miss a bit of debris in the corners, so you might need to do a quick manual clean-up in those spots. In that department, I’d say the D-shaped Roomba s9+ has the edge for reaching corners.

Battery Life

Both the Eufy 11s and G30 robot vacuum models offer an impressive runtime of approximately 100 minutes on the low power mode, but using the BoostIQ mode may significantly decrease its battery life. They don’t have long battery life but it is still quite generous for budget-friendly models.

The Eufy 11s has an “Auto charge” feature that kicks in when it detects a low battery. It autonomously makes its way back to the charging station and starts the recharging process, which usually takes about 5 hours. While this feature is handy, it has a limitation. If you have a large home, the 11s might not be able to complete the entire cleaning session on a single charge. Additionally, once it’s fully charged, it doesn’t remember where it left off, so it can end up redoing areas it already cleaned, potentially wasting time.

Eufy G30 addresses this limitation with its “recharge and resume” feature. Like the Eufy 11s, when it detects a low battery, it heads back to the dock for recharging. However, the key difference is that it then resumes cleaning from the exact spot where it left off, all without requiring any manual intervention. It’s a convenient and impressive feature that ensures a more thorough cleaning without wasting time.

Navigation

The Eufy 11s takes a simple approach to cleaning; it kind of goes around randomly. So, if your floors are a mess with stuff in the way, this bot might seem like it’s bouncing around like crazy, which isn’t great for its battery life. So, to get the best results, make sure your floors are clear of obstacles before letting it run.

The Eufy G30 takes the lead in navigation compared to the 11s. It cruises through your home on a structured path, not zigzagging randomly. This smart navigation not only gets the job done faster but also ensures it covers more ground efficiently without missing any spots.

The anti-drop sensors on these robots are designed to keep them from tumbling down stairs. However, I found this sensor less effective, especially when they get dirty or if the robots are used on very dark carpets or floors. So, make sure to give those sensors a wipe-down now and then and consider setting up some physical barriers to keep your robot friends away from potential drop zones.

Control

The Winner: Eufy G30

Physical Button

When it comes to manual control, these robots keep it simple yet slightly different. The Eufy 11s go for the single-button approach. This button is used to start and stop the vacuum. For the fancy stuff, you’ll need to use the remote control.

On the flip side, the G30 adds a bit more flair with 3 physical buttons on top. In the middle, you’ve got the Recharge button, the Auto Cleaning start/pause button sits above, and the Spot Cleaning button chills below. Plus, there’s a Wi-Fi status indicator light too. So, it’s like the 11s goes for minimalism, while the G30 adds some extra buttons to its repertoire.

Voice Control

Now, here’s where the Eufy G30 really turns up the tech game. It’s got voice control, a feature that’s missing in the 11s. With the G30, you can hook it up to either Amazon Alexa or Google Home (or why not both if you’re feeling fancy with your gadgets).

Picture this: you’re lounging on the couch, deep into your favorite movie, and oops, you drop some chips. No need to move a muscle – just ask Google to send the G30 to the rescue.

App & Remote Control

The Eufy 11s comes with a remote control, while the Eufy G30 steps up its game with a nifty app. Now, it might boil down to personal preference, but I’m all about that app control with the G30. It just feels so futuristic and convenient.

Using the remote, you can allow the 11s easy to tweak the settings and switch cleaning modes right from the comfort of your couch. Plus, no need to rely on an internet connection to operate it (you can see the photo below to know the functions it offers).

The RoboVac G30 doesn’t come with a remote, but you can control it via the EufyHome app (available for Android and iOS). In the app, you can start and pause cleaning jobs, select the cleaning mode and suction level, set a cleaning schedule, send the vacuum to the charging dock and view your cleaning history, etc.

Eufy G30's app features
Eufy G30’s app features

Here’s the scoop on why I dig the Eufy G30’s app over the 11s’s remote: schedule feature. While both can set up cleaning schedules, the 11s only lets you pick a specific cleaning time. But with the G30 and its app, you can get super specific, scheduling cleanings for different times every single day of the week. Now that’s more flexibility and customization, ensuring your cleaning needs are met precisely when you want them to be. No more one-size-fits-all scheduling.

Cleaning & Maintenance

The Winner: Eufy 11s

Dustbin

The Eufy RoboVac 11s and the Eufy 30 both pack a 0.6-liter dust bin. It is not a large dustbin but for their size, it is quite impressive. Eufy suggests emptying it after every cleaning session. Personally, I’ve emptied it every other day, but that really hinges on your home’s square footage and vacuuming habits.

One thing to note, though: the dustbin’s lid is like a spring-loaded jack-in-the-box. It pops open super easily, and I’ve unintentionally created a little dust storm on the way to the trash can more than once.

Filtrаtiоn System

The filtration systems on these two robot vacuums are quite different. The 11s boasts a 3-stage filtration system, while the G30 comes with just a single filter.

The Eufy 11s features a comprehensive 3-stage filtration system, including a prefilter, a foam filter, and a high-performance filter. This multi-layered approach ensures that the air it releases is exceptionally clean, preventing dust particles from being recirculated into your home’s air. This is particularly beneficial for households with asthma sufferers or young kid.

Surprisingly, the 3-stage filtration system on the Eufy 11s is easier to maintain than expected. Despite having three filters to deal with, the process is straightforward. The pre-filter did its job extremely well, being able to trap almost all debris. Yes, debris doesn’t even have a chance to “meet” the other filter, making cleaning primarily a matter of maintaining the pre-filter. This is notably easier than dealing with the grooved filter on the G30.

The 3-stage filtration system of Eufy 11s

The Eufy G30 takes a different approach with just a Unibody filter, lacking the pre-filter found in the Eufy 11S. While dealing with only one filter might seem easier, it actually makes the cleaning process a bit more challenging. Without a protective screen in front of this Unibody filter, dust and debris accumulate and get lodged in its intricate grooves. Cleaning it thoroughly is really a time-consuming task.
