What is the difference between the Roborock P10 vs Q Revo? Getting right to the point, I initially thought they were two separate models that were so close to one another, but in hindsight, I found they were the same and are better known as Roborock Q Revo! I don’t know why there are two names for the same product, but they’re indeed one and the same, or at least that’s what I found out.

Roborock P10 Vs Q Revo: Detailed Comparison

Now we all know the Roborock P10 vs Q Revo are the same robovac, and it’s exorbitantly expensive. So is it worth it?

Cleaning Performance

Airflow

Roborock P10Roborock Q Revo
Quiet≈ 8.1 CFM
Balanced≈ 9.4 CFM
Turbo≈ 11.6 CFM
Max≈ 13.1 CFM

The Q Revo boasts above-average suction, allowing it to effectively gather debris from my hardwood floors. Additionally, its rubber brush roll provides excellent agitation, improving its cleaning performance on my carpets.

Hard Floor

Roborock P10Roborock Q Revo
≈ 99%

The Q Revo was excellent at collecting debris on this surface and got a super high score of 99%. This one even picks up a bit more than some Roborocks with higher airflow levels, such as the S7 Max and Roborock S7 MaxV.

Carpet

Roborock P10Roborock Q Revo
Low-pile Carpet≈ 94%
High-pile Carpet≈ 90%

The Q Revo also did well on both my low- and high-pile carpets, which isn’t surprising since it has above-average suction power while its bristle-free brush roll delivers outstanding agitation.

Hair

Roborock P10Roborock Q Revo
5-inch Strands≈ 62%
10-inch Strands≈ 55%

The Q Revo had a middling performance in my hair tests: It managed to collect a fair amount of 5-inch hair but faced challenges with the longer 10-inch strands. Thankfully, its bristle-free roller made the post-test detangling a breeze.

Design & Usability

Dimensions & Weight

Dimensions (W x H)13.9 x 3.8 inches
Weight10 lbs

The Roborock Q Revo features a traditional circular design with a white-color appearance, which looks attractive and sleek. Of course, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder! This one is one of my heaviest robot vacuums, but carrying it around is still easy enough.

The Q Revo arrives with a multifunctional home base, boasting a sleek and glossy white finish to match the robot. More than its aesthetic appeal, it serves multiple roles – from recharging the robot and emptying its bin to filling its water tank and washing the mopping pads. The trade-off for such automated convenience is finding the right spot for it, considering its bulky size.

Extractor & Side Brush

The main brush roller of the Q Revo is designed with an Archimedes oblique spiral pattern and made of TPU soft rubber. This combination adeptly solves the trouble of hair entanglement, which is a headache for pet owners, and makes maintenance easier than its bristled counterpart.

The Q Revo employs a tip-bristled corner brush found in earlier Roborocks, which I think is a cost-cutting measure to decrease pricing. The good news is it is compatible with the new-generation rubber brush, and I’d recommend purchasing an extra side brush as a backup as the default bristled brush is prone to quicker wear and tear.

Navigation

For mapping, the Q Revo utilizes LiDAR navigation technology, which helps the bot identify and draw the map of the home environment quickly and accurately. The robot can just take one run to complete a map of your living space and can even do it without adequate lighting. This one can also save up to 4 maps for multi-floor cleaning without constantly regenerating the map.

The Q Revo features a front obstacle-avoidance sensor called Reactive Tech, but this one doesn’t feature an RGB camera surrounded by side lasers like the S7 MaxV. Regrettably, its obstacle avoidance ability isn’t that good. My tests revealed that the Q Revo adeptly avoids larger items, such as mugs, shoes, and mock pet waste, in its path but struggles with power cords.

If obstacle avoidance is your top priority and if your pockets are quite deep, of course, you should check on the S7 MaxV, which has a better obstacle avoidance algorithm. Otherwise, a simple pre-clean of your floor should suffice, and your bot will handle the rest smoothly!

Battery Life

Roborock P10Roborock Q Revo
Battery Life≈ 98–201 mins
Charging Time≈ 210 mins

The Q Revo is equipped with a 5,200mAh lithium-ion battery, which is advertised to last up to 3 hours on a single charge. Impressively, in my tests, it surpassed this estimated battery life when set to the lowest power mode. And if your floor needs more than that, the Recharge & Resume function allows it to autonomously dock for recharging and then pick up right where it leaves off after receiving enough power.

Control

Manual Control

The top control panel of the Q Revo is minimalist, with one home button and one power button. You can run it by simply pressing the power button, or you can also make it return to the base on its own by pressing the home button. Unlike some other Roborock models that have a three-button system, the Q Revo lacks a Spot Clean button.

App Connectivity

You can also have the Q Revo linked to the Roborock Home app to control everything smartly on your phone. The app provides a live map on which you can view the bot’s location in real time and see areas it has cleaned using grid lines. A 3D map is also available, enabling you to view your living space from a three-dimensional perspective and add furniture to your heart’s content. Well, 3D mapping sounds interesting, but it is not really useful in practice like the Ecovacs app.

The Roborock can save up to four maps with various customization options for each one. This includes dividing rooms and labeling them for selective cleaning. That means instead of cleaning the entire floor, you can assign the Q Revo to clean your living room, for example. You can also point at specific zones rather than cleaning a specific room with the “Zoned Cleaning” feature

Of course, you can also set containment zones with the help of invisible walls, no-go zones, or no-mop zones. These features come in handy if you want to prevent the robot from accessing certain areas in your home, whether it’s a pet’s favorite resting spot or a child’s room scattered with Lego blocks. This ensures your robot works efficiently without disturbing specific areas you’d like untouched.

The Roborock app is also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing for easy voice command functionality, so you can start your day with “Alexa, clean my bedroom” instead of hunting down your phone. In the “scheduling” option, you can also choose to deploy the robot on specific days, weekdays, or weekends so it can automatically start cleaning.

Cleaning & Maintenance

One reason I find this device so expensive is because of the all-in-one base station it comes with. When the 0.35-liter dust bin reaches its limit, the device heads back to the base. Here, it dumps the dirt into a 2.7-liter dust bag, and you never have to deal with a big plume of dust and dirt. The bag can be used for up to two months, meaning just six replacements throughout the year.

What’s more, this mammoth-sized tower can autonomously refill the bot when it’s on its mopping mission and cleanse its pair of pads. It also has a drying function using two-way automatic hot air to dry the mopping pads, helping you sidestep issues like bad odors, insect infestations, or mold growth, all of which could jeopardize your family’s health. So, even if you are a guy who often travels on business without someone to take care of your home, this one could be set to become your unforeseen caretaker!

As with other Roborocks, the Q Revo uses an E11 internal filter to prevent any dust and allergens from escaping. You’ll find this filter nestled in the dirt compartment, and it’s easy to remove for cleaning. You should wash it under water every half a month.

Other Features

Noise

Roborock P10Roborock Q Revo
Working≈ 45-67 dB
Self-Emptying≈ 75 dB

The Q Revo is somewhat quiet when it is in operation, and you won’t have any trouble hearing nearby conversations or watching TV, even when this robovac is running in the same room. However, the brief self-emptying process is jarringly loud enough to rouse your resting baby or spook your four-legged friend.

Mopping Ability

The Q Revo is honored to be its first Roborock hybrid robot that uses double counter-rotating mop discs that rotate up to 200 rpm to powerfully agitate stubborn stains on the floor.

What’s more, it can automatically lift the mop unit up to 7 mm off the ground, preventing any contact with your carpets or rugs during its dual-action cycle. Of course, I still recommend setting the no-mop zone on the app for added assurance since this mop-lifting function may not work with high-pile carpets.

While the Q Revo excelled at tackling juice stains without leaving any remnants, it struggled more with dried BBQ sauce, necessitating several passes to clean most of it. That said, despite its dual rotating mopping mechanism, it’s clear that tackling dried stains still poses a challenge. Final advice: avoid using it on liquid spills since it tends to spread the sticky residue around rather than clean everything up.
